Can I get a travel insurance plan for less LGBTQ + accepting countries?
Travelers are able to get coverage for any destination so long as it’s not listed as an OFAC sanctioned country or region. Visit the official website for the Office of Foreign Assets Control for the most recent updates.
Is my partner considered a Family Member under that definition for certain coverages in my travel insurance plan?
Possibly, in addition to spouses, Travel Guard travel insurance plans include civil union partners and domestic partners under the definition of Family Member. (Note: this can vary by state based on statutory definitions of these terms). Additionally, if there is someone you’d like to include that doesn’t fall under our definition, you can use the Name Your Family® bundle to add an additional person.
